How is a Colonoscopy Performed?
A colonoscopy involves using a thin, flexible tube with a camera (a colonoscope) to view the inside of your large intestine (colon). The colonoscope is gently guided through your rectum and into your entire large intestine. During the procedure, the doctor can carefully examine the lining, take tissue samples (biopsies), or remove polyps if necessary.
Importance Preparation Notes:

- Medication: Refrain from taking antithrombotic medications (blood thinners) for 3-7 days prior to your screening. Please consult with your prescribing doctor regarding the specific dosage and type of medication.
